Large Transit Token Necklace

This is the perfect nostalgic New York City Subway memorabilia!

This large token, measuring about an inch in diameter, was used in the subways beginning in the 1970-1980s. This tiny coin hangs on a vintage brass 20″ chain. Metrocards replaced brass subway tokens for good in 2003. Now, these pieces of NYC history are mostly melted down for scrap metal.
